Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET) was established by the Late Shri. S.B. Patil in the September of 1990. Its sole mission was aimed at serving society, the industry and all stakeholders through value-inculcating, quality education in the area of schooling, as well as professional tutelage in the fields of engineering, management and computer applications.
Situated at a very approachable location near Akurdi Railway Station, Nigdi, Pune, PCET is a well-established and time tested brand in Education since 1990.
PCET has seven institutes Pimpri Chinchwad Polytechnic (PCP), Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), S.B. Patil Institute of Management (SBPIM), S.B. Patil Public School (SBPPS), Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research (PCCoER), S B Patil College of Science and Commerce, Ravet (SBPCSC) and S B Patil College of Architecture and Design (SBPCAD).
PCET has always been committed to its mission by creating, communicating, preserving and applying knowledge, art and academic values.
At the campus of Akurdi, Pune, near 7,200 students are being groomed in specialized courses like Engineering, MBA, MCA& PGDM by professional and passionate instructors. The campuses at Ravet are school to 1,200 would-be graduates at the College of Engineering, around 800 pupils at the Junior College, and approximately 2,500 students at the Public School, all amounting to a total of 11,700-odd students.
Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE) is one of the best engineering Institutions in Pune, established in 1999 (autonomous from 2020, affiliated to SavitribaiPhule Pune University, Pune), nurtured and managed by Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust (PCET). PCCoE is functioning proactively to provide the best professional environment to engineering and management students in terms of academics, industry oriented trainings, sports, co-curricular & extracurricular activities, cultural activities, various competitions, etc to create true aesthetically sensitive, socially committed and technologically competent engineers and management professionals.
Academic at PCCoE is disciplined with results at the par of best colleges in SavitribaiPhule Pune University (SPPU). Students of PCCoE are proving their talents at state and national level competitions for technical and non-technical events. Along with results,PCCoE has excellent track record of placements. The output of any institute is the input of industry. i-MACE 24 aims to create an 3rd international conglomeration of researchers, academicians and industrial experts. This forum serves as a platform where researchers can share information about diverse technological advancements, innovations, and achievements in the areas of Mechanical and Civil engineering.
The theme of i-MACE 2024 is “Resilient and Adaptive Smart Technologies“. This platformwill facilitate discussion that centers on the developments, challenges and solutions for resilient and adaptive development in the field of machine design, manufacturing, thermal and fluid engineering, automation, hydrology, water management, structural engineering, geotechnical, transportation, bio-mimic and construction management by adopting smart technologies.
The focus of this conference is to provide a technical platform that encourages scientific research and educational activities that would cater to the needs of both society and the industry and take the thread of, i-MACE-22 and i-MACE-23 focusing the advancement of a common man’s life by utilizing the innovations and practices of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. The conferences include keynote addresses and guest lectures by eminent speakers around the globe.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sinha, the founding Vice Chancellor & Director of the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur, is an educationist, researcher, scientist, inventor, and internationally acclaimed author of computer textbooks with more than
thirty-five years of professional experience. Earlier, he was with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), where he led national programs in high-performance computing(HPC), grid computing, and health informatics.
Dr. Sinha has significantly contributed to advancing science, technology, and technical education. His contributions include premier academic institutions, HPC systems and facilities, healthcare products and solutions, international patents, many technical papers, and six books in the area of Computer Science and engineering. Universities across the globe cite his books as textbooks for their courses. His books have been translated into local languages like Japanese and Hindi on public demand.
Dr. Sinha's commitment to the growth of technical education is evident in his role as the founding Vice Chancellor & Director of IIIT-Naya Raipur. From 2015 to 2024, he was deeply involved in building IIIT-Naya Raipur as a premier academic institute in the nation. His influence extends beyond IIIT-Naya Raipur, as he has been instrumental in developing several other technical institutes and served as a member of their Governing Board. These include IIT Bhilai, NIT Raipur, AIT Pune, D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Pune, and Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal.
Dr. Sinha is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association, a Fellow of the Computer Society of India (CSI), and an ACM Distinguished Engineer. He has also received several other awards and recognitions, including the “2011 VASVIK Research
Award” and the “2013 Intel Pathfinder Award.”
Dr. Sunil S Bhagwat is the Director, Indian Insititute of Science Education and Research, Pune and Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Chemical Technology (fka UDCT/UICT) where he was earlier the head of the Dept of Chemical Engg and Dean Academic Programmes.
His area of Specialization is Interfacial Science, Artificial Neural Networks, Energy and Exergy Engineering.
His group (over 45 Doctoral and 85 masters students completed) has suc-cessfully completed several research projects funded by government agencies and private companies in India and abroad. His group won the NOCIL award of IIChE in 2012 and the Bry-Air Asia award for HVAC in 2013. He was awarded Best Teacher Award in ICT several times and also Indian National Science Aacademy (INSA) Teacher Award in 2016. In 2019, the UDCT Alumni Associ-ation’s Distinguished Alumnus Award - Academic category, was bestowed upon him. He received the Indian Chemical Council - KV Mariwala award for Chem-ical Industry- Academia partnership 2022 and was elected Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering in 2023. He is also an active consultant to many chemical industries.
He has over 100 international publications and over 80 national/ interna-tional conference presentations and 10 patents to his credit.
